Here's another application that I had reservations about before I installed it. Frankly, I probably would have never installed it if I hadn't had a friend that move to Guatemala and this was our way of communicating with her.

The service works surprisingly well. I would definitely tell you that this services works best with a headset and mic combination but even without that (using just the speakers and mic on a laptop) it still works pretty darn good.

Given the fact that you can do video chats, texting and file transfers via skype, just to mention a few of the features, it is a remarkable service (even in the FREE mode).
